I am very happy with it. I bounce back and forth between a Sette and a Thomson setback seatpost. I prefer the Thomson, but the Sette fits my San Marco Era saddle better because of the low profile. I'm not sure, but I think these are made by one company and several internet bike stores put their name on them (such as Bike Nashbar)- they look very similar viewing the photos in the catalogs. It does the job, holds the saddle, looks nice, has a scale on the mast for saddle height. The only problem is the Sette seatposts have no setback, so depending on what saddle you use, they might not work for you. I don't know if the cf really does anything to inhance the ride, I think the Thomson has a better feel. I have the Thomson mounted with a Selle Italia Flite Gel and if I want to change I just swap seatposts for awhile....(the San Marco dials in with my bike better)...for the money (around $48.00) the Sette is a good product....(if you are thinking of going c.f.)... Pierre 07-13-2004, 05:14 PM I prefer it to the Thomson, find it (or imagine it) more comfortable. Did 375 miles this week-end with it, and about 4000 miles total without problem. As for seatposts without setback, the only product I've run into that can compare with it is the Syncros titanium seatpost. I have one, but too lazy to install it instead of the Sette.
