We did a nice two day ride this past weekend.

Started out in Westerville (north east Columbus) and went up to Amish crountry near Brinkhaven. We rode back the following day.

It was about 60 miles each day, with almost half on a couple of bike paths. The path from Danville to Brinkhaven is there mostly for the Amish to use and was not paved. It got a little 'rustic' at the end (see photos).

As a bonus, they were holding the Ohio Road Racing Championships in Danville. We stopped and took some photos. It was an 18 mile road course, and the different divisions rode a varying number of laps. There were some 'masters' racing, a few young guns, and even a tandem. Pretty cool....

Nice pics:thumbsup: . I'm a little suprised to see the country that green considering the recent lack of rain.

I'll be down in the hocking hills this weekend for a bit of hill training.

Yikes, your rustic road could swallow a bike. Looks like a cross course! Cool stuff though!

We were really glad to be running touring tires when we got to that last part. I run 28mm Gatorskins and Bob was running 32's I think. There were only a couple of places we had to walk around the mud.

A cross bike woulda been a blast.....

Danville! Ha! I grew up not far from Danville in Knox County. Danville is the last thing I would associate with cycling. :D My parents sent me the article from the Mount Vernon News about the Ohio Road Racing Championships. Maybe I'll head back next year and do that race for the heck of it.

I'm pretty sure I recognize the dude riding the black Trek in the team Ecehlon jersey. I ride with him in the Thursday night COP ride out of New Albany. He's a strong rider; we usually drop most the other A riders.
