Hi,

I am not knowledgable at all about classics, though I do appreciate the craftsmanship and the quality I have seen on many. I still have my custom race bike from the 80s, SLX with excellent performance (for it's time) from a builder named Jack Koehler.

Recently, my SO decided to resume riding after a 10 yr lay-off. She has a Mondonico frameset that she raced in the 80s and wanted a lighter, more modern bike, so that one is now gathering dust. If anyone is interested in a beautiful frame from Italy, you could PM me and I'll send some pics and more specs. Size is probably about 56-57, geometry is classic Italian..I think Alberto Mondonico once worked for Colnago, but still runs his bike business as a family deal..
Blue and white fade with a chrome Columbus fork..
The original Suntour Superbe Pro grupo is available with the frameset, if you wanted..7sp SIS index shifters, etc.
You can also make a 9-10 speed work if you pull the chainstays out as you mount the rear wheel. Also available are various Suntour hubs and shifters..index/friction and Superbe Pro hibs.
