Ok watching the Saunier Duval rider coming in to the line I couldn't help but notice that his kit was pointing something out. I mean come on! If you want to highlight it that much just have them wear a codpiece.

TylerDurden 07-14-2007, 05:17 PM i don't think it's quite as bad as the liquigas neon green crotch blob. zeytin 07-14-2007, 05:33 PM i don't think it's quite as bad as the liquigas neon green crotch blob. Yes, though it doesn't look as bad on the hanger when the rider is wearing it and the jersey covers the fact that the design goes on up the bib. It again looks like a "look at me!" Einstruzende 07-14-2007, 06:11 PM If you got it, flaunt it :D I am The Edge 07-14-2007, 07:27 PM Ok watching the Saunier Duval rider coming in to the line I couldn't help but notice that his kit was pointing something out. you could have helped it if you really wanted to...admit it, you wanted to look. il sogno 07-14-2007, 11:04 PM Yep, my eyes are always directed to that spot. :o filtersweep 07-15-2007, 12:44 AM I just don't like that they are yellow. bigbill 07-15-2007, 12:50 AM I just don't like that they are yellow. I always thought that teams with yellow kits had to have an alternative for TDF. I remember the pink ONCE and Mercatone Uno kits. Anyway, it is probably just you, me, rogger and wayne this time of day. I am going have some brunch now and ride this afternoon. Maybe I will take the time to make fun of some Swiss tourists and their habit of wearing plaid shorts with striped shirts. MB1 07-15-2007, 01:10 AM .... Maybe I will take the time to make fun of some Swiss tourists and their habit of wearing plaid shorts with striped shirts. Yes, I don't understand why they don't wear seersucker or a nice madras. BTW Z, get your mind out of the gutter (maybe we need a podium boys forum)! :D filtersweep 07-15-2007, 04:23 AM Lucky you-- I am on an island-- flat, treeless, and 6 square km. There is no biking to be done here. I would rather have a summer house in the mountains. I think I need a sea kayak to get some exercise. The weather was so nasty yesterday that I didn't even consider riding an hour to the ferry. At least we have German tourists to make fun of. The stereotype is that they literally bring everything in their campers-- and don't spend a nickel here. Yesterday their campers were lined up in the wrong ferry queue (the empty line that literally goes nowhere). I was wondering about the kits-- why there are no alternatives anymore. More teams should be like Euro soccer teams or that new Rock 'n Roll team in the U.S., with several kits. Does anyone remember Barcelona's horrible Pearl Izumi yellow alternate jerseys? djcrb9 07-15-2007, 09:59 AM I always thought that teams with yellow kits had to have an alternative for TDF. Maybe I will take the time to make fun of some Swiss tourists and their habit of wearing plaid shorts with striped shirts. I wish they still would. It's distracting to see yellow out there on anyone than, well, the guy in yellow. There should be an alternate for the Tour, and and alternate from pink for the Giro. zeytin 07-15-2007, 04:02 PM I freely admit that I check out the riders' butts and thighs (remember thats why I married a soccer player**wink, wink, nudge, nudge**) but those kits designed to direct the eyes to one point. I've decided that I have a new found appreciation for the simplicity of the Adidas T-Mobile jersey even though I'm not a fan of pink. Astana is pretty nice too. joehartley 07-15-2007, 04:15 PM T-Mob has the best looking kit, bike and all. |
