OK...my budget is getting pretty hammered, especially since I want to spend the money on wheels.
Any comments good/bad on Nashbar Ventoux pedals?
Thanks

Any comments good/bad on Nashbar Ventoux pedals? Thanks I had a pair a few years ago, but why not spend the extra ten $ and get a pair of the Time Mid's from nashbar. They aren't the lightest pedals in the world, but man can they hold. Of course I was a big fan of the Time mtb pedals and the Mid's have the same basic platform. Plus if they were secure enough for Chris Boardman's hour record they be more than secure enough for you. Dave_Stohler 07-14-2004, 05:11 PM DANGER: Nashbar pedals suck. I bought a pair a few years ago (made by Wellgo), and they held my foot like a bear trap, even on the lowest setting. Luckily, they brok on the third trip. Don't buy the Nashbar pedals if you value your ankles. likeguymontag 07-15-2004, 12:13 PM I've got a pair of Wellgo pedals that may or may not be resold under the Nashbar name, but I like them pretty well. They're the ones that look like clones of the old Shimano road pedals - the SPD-R system, or whatever. It's the style that Lance didn't like and wouldn't use, but they've been just fine to me. Dave_Stohler 07-15-2004, 05:24 PM This is the pedal: <img src="http://www.nashbar.com/nashbar_photos/small/NS-VTX.gif"> It's exactly the pedal I had, and not the SPD-R type. Avoid this pedal!! |
