I'm looking at getting a used road bike (cyclocross or touring) for primarily commuting purposes. I'm 6'4" with pretty long legs. I'm wondering what frame size I should be looking for so I can narrow down my search. I guess I'm thinking somewhere around 60cm. Does that seem about right?

you can get fitted at just about any lbs. but that sounds about right, though you probably don't want anything smaller. i'm 6' 3" and my jeans inseam is 34". my cross bike is a soma 60, which has a 59cm top tube. my road bike is 60c-c and 64c-t, with only a 58cm top tube.

I'm 6'4 as well and looking for a cyclocross. The guys at City Bikes in Chevy Chase MD said that the bb is higher off the ground than a race bike putting the top tube higher off the ground. I have been to most sites and cc bikes only seem to come in 60cm. I have a 66cm (26") 81 Lotus and they sure don't make em that tall. I'm pretty concerned since I really want a 62 or 63cm. They said they would order a 60" Redline and if it doesn't fit no worrys. They will sell it. Don't be afraid to ask.
