Hello homosapiens Im flankwood, Im a new member. Im usually on the MTBR stie but I saw the need for a road bike to commute to work with. A friend gave me his antique Colnago Sprint and I am trying to find out the exact year and some info on it. It is hot pink fading to pearl glitter white. 2 dinner plates up front and a 7 speed cog in the rear. Down tube thumb shifters, all dura ace components. It has glue on tires. If anyone can help please let me know.

An antique 7 speed with downtube shifters and Dura Ace, eh?

Man... I feel old. I remember when all that stuff first came out. :cryin:

Random guess... 1989.

Well don't feel too bad. My first hot rod car is now an antique. Its a dirty word sometimes but respect follows closely behind. Im posting a pic of my ride on the Colnago forum. Thread "post your clonago pics". Check it out. Just cleaned it up too. I love the simplicity of the bike. Fast too.

Hrmm... after the pic, I'll back date my guess by two years and say 1987.

Colnago are one of the most desired brands of the last 30-ish years or so. VERY nice and usually come well-equipped which always helps in the niceness category.
