Sorry i havnt been around much, the air force BLOCKED the site from my job computer. Guess the words "bike porn" was just to much for them. LOL Well anyway i stumbled into a very nice Allez Epic frame, carbon tubes and matt finish aluminum lugs. The only problem was the bolt to hold on the bottom bracket cable guide was messed up. That fix was easy, i just simply ground down a water bottle cage bolt, inserted it from the inside, and used a nut with some locktite to make sure it didn't rattle off.

I built it up with my current groupe, 600 ultegra 9 speed. I rode it today for the first time and it rides like a dream. Very very comfortable is the words i would use to describe it. It is spaced for a 126 rear hub and i stuck a 130 in today to ride it. I am getting a new hub off of ebay, will have it built into a wheel, and will simply leave off one gear when i build it up.

Anyway i have wanted this bike for a while, and after i get a few miles on it i plan on making it more of a once a week bike. I will go with the 600 ultegra pre STI groupe for it.

Anyway hope everyone is having a great summer.

BIll
