Greetings;
I highly recommend a road run from Flagstaff to Mormon Lake Lodge. Most of the road has been re-paved with wide shoulders enough to ride side by side. Its about 60 miles up and back. Takes you past two lakes, meadows and heavy forest greens. From Flagstaff take Lake Mary rd to just past the second cattle guard(approx 5 miles). Park on the nice wide pull off. Enjoy the 15 mile ride to Mormon Lake turn off. Go 7 miles from turnoff to lodge. Have lunch( delicious bbq & apple pie) continue on to hwy and ride back to Flagstaff. Take the quick(2mi) Marshall Lake detour as your coming back. Its about a 10% grade to NOPI observatory. Plus the view is stunning. Weather will be around 65 - 80 faren. Traffic negligible. Scale from 1-10 a 10.
