I will be competing in my first sprint triathlon this weekend - .25m swim, 11 mile bike, 4 mile run. I would like to ask for a recommendation of a good carbohydrate drink to drink towards the end of my bike ride? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Whatever tastes good to you. Test on rides- your taste changes when you are exercising, sometimes quite a bit. If it tastes bad you won't drink it, making it worthless.
I like HEED- it's not the best tasting but it's acceptable and it doesn't get any worse during a long ride like may drinks do. It's also got a lot of calories, and no HFCS. Clif Shot Electrolyte drink is also ok.
You can make your own with honey and lemon.

You need to go with something that tastes good, but also that won't affect your gut. You're looking at a total event time of less than 90 minutes? Many would say that all you need to do is make sure you are all "carbed up" before you hit the water and you won't need anything. Another thing to consider is a gel or something similar. Just a shot of honey might work. You only need 100 calories or so just to keep the fires lit. That way, you don't get that sticky stuff all over your bike :)

You may also look into Twinlab's 'Ultra Fuel' and don't forget the Electrolytes; Hammer is good, as well as Electrolyte Stamina.

(Their tablets [6/serving] offer a very different electrolyte formula)

Thanks,
For those distances, water is all I would take, but that's just me.
