It appears that Mr. Bridge to Nowhere, Ted Stevens from Alaska, had a little house search.

And the possible corruption and law breaking continues on the republican side of the aisle.

Amazing isn't it? Stevens is an absolute POS.

Pretty much par for the course for these scumbags. God's party. Right.

I can't think of a lower moment than when he threw a tantrum on the Senate Floor when they suggested taking money from his bridge to aid Katrina efforts. He threw a TANTRUM!

A different article said it was about his links to a contractor. I assumed it was the same contractor building that bridge.

Isn't he the Senator that almost always wears a US flag tie? Someone should tell him that's against the rules for desecration of the US flag and all.

I do remember the tantrum that he threw on the floor of the Senate. I believe he threatened to resign his seat if his bridge was taken away. Well, looks like he didn't quite do that now did he? He's also the Senator who is very gung ho to open up more Alaskan wilderness for oil drilling.

And, as if I have to add, the one who defined the Interwebs as a "series of tubes" while he was Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. Startling (or is it?) that this is the person republicans put in that position.

From Wiki:

Ten movies streaming across that, that Internet, and what happens to your own personal Internet? I just the other day got... an Internet was sent by my staff at 10 o'clock in the morning on Friday, I got it yesterday. Why? Because it got tangled up with all these things going on the Internet commercially.

[...] They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the Internet. And again, the Internet is not something you just dump something on. It's not a big truck. It's a series of tubes. And if you don't understand, those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and it's going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material.

Y'all just pissed off 'cause he could keep his cash in a box outside the door. Didn't have to freeze it to perserve it. :)

Snake you need another response than point to a Democrat. Mr. Stevens is a POS and you know it....or maybe you own part of that bridge?

I didn't say he wasn't and I don't particularly care what happens to him. He should face whatever he has coming but then, he isn't the first and won't be the last from either party. I just think it's funny that he doesn't need to freeze his assets, so to speak. :)

What's not funny is how many of our national assets don't need to freeze either, because he was handing out taxpayer money to his buddies to build useless buildings and bridges. Want lower taxes? First, get rid of Stevens and Byrd.

Lets start with the worst offender these past 7 years...

He has doubled our national debt in 7 short years...

Bush.
