I noticed that only after it was pointed by one of the writers for thepaceline.com. Very uncool, and I'm sure if I was there and my rider wasn't leading I'd be pretty upset, but spitting on people just seems insane.

I saw something too, but my first reaction was that someone threw some sort of liquid. It didn't occur to me that it could have been spit.

Yup. I saw a guy spit right at Lances face, not sure if he hit him but it was point blank spitting range. It was a ride by spitting.

Spitting is the lowest of low. Highly disrespectful, offensive and insulting no matter who it is to. Whoever did it should be ashamed of themselves - its utterly disgusting.

As much as people may feel its nice to throw water (or whatever) as the riders pass, I think from the riders perspective its probably not really liked - I would feel dirty I think with people throwing crap over me.

There are losers everwhere. Saw it. It was obvious spit. Hopefully, Lance will spit back and win #6.
