I have already determined this bike is generally my size and was built for a 215 lb rider. I am currently 205 lbs but hope to get in the 180-190 lb range eventually. I have e-mailed my fitter with the exact measurements and am hoping to hear back from him before the auction ends.
My situation is that I could purchase this complete bike and sell my complete bike steel Fierte and my total cost would be about the same price as purchasing a brand new custom Seven Alaris frame or Roark (might consider since Roark factory is only 20-30 miles from my home) designed specifically for me or a stock Fierte TI (new ones have carbon seatstay which I am not sure if I want) and selling my Fierte steel frame and moving the existing components on the existing Fierte to the new Alaris/Roark/Fierte TI. I have always ridden steel bikes, my Fierte purchased new in 2006 (2005 model all steel except fork).
I am contemplating this purchase with only the knowledge that I am tired of scratched paint and think that I want an all Titanium bike that I can polish/steel wool out any blemishes that occur. But no having ridden one am I better to wait until I know exactly what I want? Or is there a possibility I may just want to keep riding my existing steel bike because I will probably like it better and will just have to learn how to touch up paint, which I have already printed detailed instructions from the Serotta website?
