Great frame - very comfortable, but excellent transfer of power, with massive bottom bracket. Very stable at speed, on downhills. Builds up very easily (I do most of my own wrenching). Best bike I've owned - I highly recommend it. Topo Gigio 08-04-2007, 10:15 PM Thanks dbmather. That's a beautiful bike. The one I saw at the bike shop was the same color as yours, I thought it looked great, even the seatpost is cool. I didn't get a chance to test ride it that day, but I'll go back soon. teffisk 08-05-2007, 05:13 PM How's the weight? What did you pay? Thanks teffisk 08-05-2007, 05:14 PM oh yeah, and is it mass start race legal? master2129 08-05-2007, 07:19 PM Have had mine for about 4 months. Best bike I've owned - I highly recommend it. Great looking ride! FYI: That Grey Looking thing on your Centaur Crankset is a protective sticker. You're suppose to take that off. I thought you'd like to know. dbmather 08-05-2007, 08:37 PM Teffisk - $1800 plus tax for frame, fork, and headset, at LBS. Had the wheels, most of the parts from previous ride. Haven't weighed the bike, guessing around 17 pounds with the Campy Chorus/Centaur mix I have on it, but that is only a guess. I've never seen or heard anything about them not being mass start race legal, but I haven't raced in several years so never asked. What I do know is that Kuota makes a higher priced frame called the Kredo which is lighter than the Kebel. Mine is size XL, advertised frame weight (no fork, etc.) is 1190 grams. XL Kredo frame advertised at 1130 grams, Kredo is used by the Kodak Gallery-Sierra Nevada pro cycling team on the US pro circuit. Given that, I'm willing to assume the Kebel is race legal. Master2129 - thanks for the heads up on the sticker, had no clue about that. teffisk 08-05-2007, 09:16 PM thanks, i was hoping that the xxl frame might be big enough to fit me. |
