So I have decided on which carbon tubulars I am getting for my cross bike - and now think I might just get a new wheelset for my road bike, a 2007 Orbea Orca. Current wheelset is Mavic Ksyrium SL's which have been fine, just wanting to try something a bit more aero. I only want a clincher wheelset for my road bike.

I am torn between getting a full carbon 38mm (1550g) or possibly a 50mm( 1625g) clincher wheelset vs a carbon wheel with aluminum braking surface 30mm (1545g).

Any thoughts or input on this from anyone that may have some experience with either of these type of wheels. My gut reaction is the 38mm Full Carbon clinchers as these will be a bit more aero and at almost the same weight as my current mavics. The 50mm carbon seem a bit overkill and may not be as good as a climbing wheel.....but I could be wrong??
The wheels would be an all purpose wheel - flats, climbing, a few races, etc.

I recently replaced a set of K SL's with some reynolds attack carbon clinchers, I've done a few crits on them and have been using them as everyday wheels and so far I love them, They feel a little smoother than the SL's over choppy pavement, they beat the SL's in weight by a little and are a little more aero at 32mm deep, not real noticeable, and they are plenty stiff for me (~155 lbs). So far I have about 1K on them and no complaints yet!

Oh and I don't have to change pads now everytime I switch wheels, I have a set of reynolds DV tubulars for race wheels.

The Tokens hubs are meant to be quite decent.

I have Reynolds DV46 carbon clinchers built with 24/28 Sapim Laser spokes and White Industries hubs. They weigh in at 1506g. Stock, they weigh 1484 according the Reynolds. What weights are you quoting above?

The weights quoted above are for the Token wheels.
I checked with the mfg as the weights on the website seemed backwards - these are the weights they gave me. Not saying the are accurate, just what was given to me.
