OK...now I have to replace the Schwalbe Ultremos clinchers...cut really easily. But, I love the light weight, and they handled great. So, what clinchers to get? I don't have the cash to just try out tires. I am down to these, by popularity: Conti4000, Mich Pro Race2, Vitt Open Corsa. Would you consider any of these for lightweight, handling, durability? They are for spirited group rides, putting on 200+ miles weekly. I weigh in at 160, riding a Ti frame, New York/ East Coast riding...
And a final P.S.: Can one use a different tire front and rear? I have one good Ultremo left!

p2r's a bit more durable, but not as light, and don't corner as well. not to say they handle poorly, but the ultremo's handled like tubbies almost.

How about the Schwalbe Stelvio? Very light, more durable than Ultremo.

i've been on hutchinson fusion comps, at 230g each and I think they're the cat's meow!!! I'm VERY happy with them.

I was going to make the Schwalbe Ultremos my next tire! Are people here saying don't?

Second choice was Michelin Pro Race 2

Panaracer Extreme Duro. Light, 240 grams, super puncture resitant, grippy and durable. The Japanese make excellent tires.

Uh-huh. Right. There is zero reason not to mismatch tires.
