I agreed to swap a cassette for a friend from his old generic wheel to a new Ksyrium wheel for him. Anyways, strangely enough, there is play in the cassette on the freehub despite the cassette lockring being properly torqued. I moved the cassette to one of my wheels and it worked just fine so its not as if the cassette is missing a spacer or anything. Is there some special extra spacer required for Ksyriums? Just eyeballing it, it looks like the black freehub on the Ksyrium is about 1-2mm longer than other the old wheel so I'm at a loss on this. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Many of the Mavic wheels were made to take the Campy-10 compatible Mavic cassette which is wider than a Shim-9 cassette. These do require a spacer for Shim-9. If it's Shim-10, it would need the Mavic spacer plus the Shim-10 spacer. - TF

I had to put a very small spacer on my Campy 9 speed cassette for this exact reason. The 10 speed cassette didn't need it.

Yep, that's the case - makes sense. I guess since I'm still working through a cache of 9spd stuff, I didn't even think about the 10 spd issue. Many thanks for the input!
