Cyclingnews reported that Iban Mayo's B sample from the Tour de France was opened yesterday in the University of Gent, Belgium.
This is noteworthy for two reasons:
1. It isn't the Châtenay-Malabry laboratory that tested the A sample
2. It isn't in France.
Until now, it was considered fine to do A and B testing at the same laboratory, but not for Mayo? Why the sudden change in procedure? This is a welcome change, but I would love to know why the change was made.
