I am trying to change her stem out and get the same fit or a slighty lower position if I have to.

Right now she has a 80mm stem x 0º with 20mm of spacers.

The HT: 125mm
HT Angle: 71.5º
ST Angle: 75.5º

So I am thinking a 90mm x -6º should workk according to the excel chart I have.

What do you think?

The length will be 12mm longer and the height will be 6mm lower. That's a lot of change. If you want nearly the same reach, then the length should remain at 80mm.

Do you mean to use the new stem in the flipped, 96 degree position and remove 10mm of spacer? That would produce about the same position, but the reach would still be a few millimeters longer.

So what size should I be looking for? Witt that chart it looks like they line up pretty well. I used it for moving to other bikes with success.

So help my lazy arse out! :p I can remove or add 5mm of spacers if needed.

I asked a similar question a couple weeks ago, and based on the mathematically derived, with charts and drawings, answer, got the stem from my LBS. Felt terrible.

They let me try what then logically seemed like the correct choice. Felt terribler.

Try number 3, which according to the charts, shouldn't work, felt just right.

There seems to be some odd dynamics of individual build and fitness that makes predicting stem specs harder then it seems. See if your LBS will loan you one of their cheapies laying around, and give it a test ride.

There's not much difference between a 5 and a 6 (84/96). Any 84 degree stem in the same length should do the trick.
