The frame is an old Raleigh I found in England. Used to be white with some rust shining through.

It was delivered with the original track fork (painted that one too), but I kind of chickened out with a fork drilled for brakes.

This modification gives a longer wheelbase, slacker HTA and STA and still about the same trail. The geometry is therefore pretty the same as my road-bike, except for the bigger stand-over height.

It's build up with a various selection of components. Some would say it's blasphemy not going full campa, but truth is. This started out as a budget project and it's gone way too far already :o

I reckon most of you can tell the components from the pics except for the rims. They're NISI sprint. The tire bedding is actually drilled to shave some weight.

Pics are clickable :)

That is beautiful...Big kuddos for the red brake housing. It's one of my favorite detail items....What cranks are those?

The crank's Truvativ track Elite. As long as I don't seem to find any time right Campa in a decent length, I can just as well go for something that works. I don't see my-selves changing it unless someone really wants to give me a pré -85 175mm track crank

Changed the bolts and chain-ring (used to be black)
The chain-ring is Suntour Superbe Pro 45T

Sweet bike.... but you really should spruce it up with some purple aeroheads ;)

I'd love to do that  but I don't seem to get them in tubular.

Rode by your office today. Those hills are pretty tough on a fixie.
I was going all the way to the top.

Yeah? That hill is worse going down-- I'd much rather go up. It is a little easier if you cut through the oil directorate area.

I guess this is a stupid question but, isn't it awkward riding with only one hood? I would think that would drive me nuts but hey, what do I know? Beautiful none the less.

I think it's funny that you call it a budget bike only because virtually every hobby or project I start begins as a "budget" project. And they are, they are...I just have to be...creative.

What's a budget bike? Is that like a free puppy?

Two of my 4 fixies only have one brake / hood and the single hood also sits pretty low so I can easily grab a handful of brake when I ride in the drops and tend to be going the fastest.

It's not a problem in any way although does draw commentary as people look for the second brake and note the fact the bikes only have one gear.

And that is one sweet looking bike.
