Tried searching, but haven't found anything that did a side-by-side comparison of multiple fixed gear bikes. Just wondering if there was something out there that compared all the specs, and of course, weights of these bikes.

I don't know of such a comparison. For most folks there are just a couple actual options available locally, so the discussion is narrowed quite a bit. Most off-the-shelf fixed & SS bikes come with lots of components that are branded in the name of the frame maker. Direct comparisons to widely available components are very hard. Folks in this board might be able to help you decide between a couple prospects if you tell us what you like in a bike.

Here are a few of my thoughts on broad comparisons. Unless you plan to ride your SS/fixie in the mountains, which few of us tend to do, the weight is unlikely to matter much at all (and wouldn't really matter then, either). Steel is real for SS/fixies, but that's just me. Depending on your use, options for fenders and bottle cages might matter more than other things.

Weight is a non-issue, at least for me, as almost anything will be in the neighborhood of 20 pounds and/or can be easily lightened.

As for specs, I think you'll find a lot more similarities than differences. Sugino vs Truvative, Kalloy vs Ritchey, etc., so no discernible advantage is likely to present itself unless you're spending a lot.

I say pick your frame material and geometry first, and then see what's out there, just to narrow the field a little.
