A buddy of mine is finishing up work on a custom road bike for me. Deda Zero tubing, aggressive geometry –*this thing is going to be a killer. Problem is, is that I need to pick out a fork, and since I don't have tons of money, I want something that is reasonably affordable, and also durable enough to handle the crappy Chicago roads I'm forced to train on, but light enough to fly up the mountains that I'm forced to drive hours to get to. :(

I've narrowed my list down to the following forks:

Reynolds Ouzo Pro
Ritchey WCS
Winwood Carbon/Carbon

I know that the Reynolds and WCS are nice forks, but I'm really interested in the Winwood. It's listed at 374 grams, but at a price substantially lower than the Ouzo and WCS, and if it has a decent reputation (as I assume any QBP house brand probably does), I'd be more inclined to pick it up.

Additionally, are there any other forks that I should consider? I'm hesitant, but not necessarily against, using a fork with a carbon steerer, but if I do, I want to make sure it's a quality piece made by a reputable company.

Of those three I'd pick the Reynolds in a heartbeat (and I have, at least 1/2 dozen times.) I like their products.

Might want to consider Easton as well. The SLX is a great fork.
