Ok, here I sit, comtemplating a frame to buy...BMC SLT 01 or Look 585 Ultra?
I have researched and researched and can't narrow it down to one....
My issue is finding a frame that will accomodate me: 6'03" and 225lbs, I do lots of climbing and am out of the saddle quite a bit. Please suggestions on the which one and why would be greatly appreciated.
I am leaning towards the BMC only because of the stiffness of the aluminum lugs. But I know that Look has always made a fantastic product and has years of expertise that BMC does not have.
Thanks

Hey Itch,
I highly recommend the Look! I ride a 595 and have found the bike to be increadibly responsive to everything I give it. The 585 Ultra is supposed to be about 10% more vertically compliant than the 595 Pro Tour, with the same lateral stiffness. I have put a majority of high performance riders on the 585 Ultra if they are power riders or weight more than 180. Also, Look is such a reliable product.

Hope that helps -

I'd also add that the EC90 SLX fork that comes with the BMC is a bit more flexy than the new Look forks, based on experience. If you're out of the saddle climbing as you say you are, this could become an issue.
That being said, I saw both at the LBS today, and the BMC in Astana colour was SICK. Definitely sexier than the Look - to me ;) Loved the big industrial styles.
