With 100,000 anti-war protestors marching, the pro-war crowd came out to support their Knuckle-dragger-in-chief's idiotic war.

All 1,000 of them.

What did they hear:

Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Robert "Buzz" Patterson, speaking from a stage to crowds clad in camouflage, American flag bandanas and Harley Davidson jackets, said he wanted to send three messages.

"Congress, quit playing games with our troops. Terrorists, we will find you and kill you," he said. "And to our troops, we're here for you, and we support you."

Yep. Slogans for the stupid.

I'm curious of the source of the numbers.

Actually, 1000 pro-war supports isn't bad. It beats the early days of the anti-war movement where the hippies couldn't drag out nearly that many to protest.

"Oh, the times, they are a changin'....."

you also had this wonderful wisdom on display.

http://blog.washingtonpost.com/rawfisher/2007/09/saving_the_elementary_schools.html

Choate said he and his friend felt compelled to come to Washington because most Americans refused to believe that "the terrorists have got people planted all over the country from Al Queda who are preparing to go on one day into many elementary schools in our country and kill our children. We have this on good authority, we have sources."

Choate said he was disappointed to see how few people turned out to the Gathering of Eagles. "Most of the country doesn't want to believe it, " he said. "Everybody's getting a false feeling of security. Every morning, I wake up and just hope another 9-11 hasn't happened overnight."

Choate said he and his friends, who he called true patriots, are doing their duty to spread the word that "most Muslims are out to kill us or convert us to Islam."

poor rightwingers. so terribly afraid. curled up under the table in puddles of their own pi$$ and sh!t. scared to death of their own shadows.

kinda pathetic, really.

I have it on good authority that Muslims eat children.
Errr, or was that that other non-christian religion, never can keep all the infidels straight.

that most religions turn their followers into vehement atheists (with of course, only 1 exception: their god)

and thus said infidels need not have their God chosen Morals applied to them

I agree that most of the folks on earth would simply like a good meal and a job and that they see North Americans and to a lesser extent, Europeans, as being the biggest gluttons on the planet.

We're pigs.

Some of my family have been affected by the continuous fear mongering and have developed some deep prejudices against certain groups like muslims... it's sad as I count many muslims as being my closest friends know them to be decent hardworking people who want the same things I do.

Most escaped from countries where there a meal and a job took a back seat to just living through the day to see tomorrow... they know what fear really is because they have lived it and didn't need someone to keep telling them they needed to be afraid.

I think we need to be cautious and identify and neutralize any individuals or groups that pose a threat to our respective nations but not at the cost of our souls.

The biggest threat I see to our planet is still ignorance on a massive scale and lack of ability for people to question the veracity of what their leaders and other individuals tell them.

I suspect that Choate's mother and father are closely related and this type of speech could be regarded as being criminal here where we do not enjoy the same freedom of speech Americans do... which isn't a bad thing.

We also have laws against brothers and sisters marrying and producing rejects like this Choate fellow.

Alabama never ceases in its quest for #50.

Choate and his Gathering of Troglodytes are revealing the dark, racist, underbelly that pervades the "Christian" movement in the South and Midwest.

I mean no disrespect to folks from Alabama as they suffer the same kind of regional discrimination as folks here in Alberta do as being regarded as ignorant, pick-up driving rednecks.

Choate would be regarded as being a troglodyte no matter where he hails from and is probably an embarassment to many folks in Alabama.

that about 90% of us (worldwide) are pretty much the same
we want to work an honest job, get married, raise a family and hope our kids do a little better than we did and just live our lives

there is this other group that wants a bit more

and they will use meaningless things that differentiate us (religion, race, ethnicity) etc... to pit us against each other (divide and conquer)

while they walk hand in hand, share business partnerships and collect handsome profits and gain power over the mess the make

some day, I hope folks will realize who the real enemy is
