I rode cyclocross practices yesterday and the running made my feet a bit sore. My old adidas just aren't going to cut it so I am in the market for some new shoes. Does anyone have any recomendations for a good pair of kicks? Appreciate it!
I have a pr of Answer Sppedsters. They have a vibram sole that's both stiff enough an you can run in them without undue pain. I'd look for shoes with vibram or similar sole material. I know there are more out there.

I don't know of anyone who carries Answer but Lake has the Vibram in their shoe also. A retailer has them here in town so I will go try a pair on. Thanks for the advice.
I think I got mine from Nashbar a few yrs ago.

I love my Sidis. It really depends on which shoe fits your feet. I uses Sidis for road and off-road.

If you have foot pain from running, looking at something like Superfeet insoles for whatever shoes end up fitting the best could be a very good idea.
I use Shimano carbon shoes for MTB, but they are too stiff to run in.
For cross I reccommend any shoe that has a flexible sole to keep from hindering any running you may do. I am using some Vittoria shoes - feel like slippers on my feet.

flex in the shoe is pretty important but you do want some stiffness.
i'm using some specialized shoes i'm liking a lot.
another important thing for me when i got them was the replaceable cleats in the toe
if you have any wet muddy or lose runups you'll need those!

i think the "needing flex" thing might be over-rated.
my sidi's were old & super flexy... after a month on a stiff-soled shimano, im in heaven.
no problem with running, and putting the power to the pedals feels sooo much better.
