Anyone have experience with these? Found several threads but little info...
Background: 6'-4" (1m93), 210 lbs (95kg), relatively 'light' on wheels for my weight. Not much hard sprinting, and learned many moons ago how to hop. Currently have Velomax Orion IIs (R3 hubs), about 4k miles, been very, very happy. Fast, very smooth, reliable, light. One tweak due to my lack of attention span was easily rectified.
Need another set of wheels; for several reasons would like to economise a bit on outlay, but would still like something fairly light. (Yes yes, all I have to do is train a bit more, but having light wheels is such a psychological boost! :D )
Questions:
Claimed weight is at least relatively accurate? (1533g...)
Are they round, true, properly tensioned out of the box and do they stay that way? (Properly stressed during build?)
Are the hubs as silky smooth as the Velomax hubs?
Asymmetric rear rim it looks like?
Any comments appreciated.
Argh
