At about 25 minutes into today's prerace show, there was a shot of the Hotel de Crillon with the Texas flag flying upside down. This hotel is on the circuit part of the Place de La Concorde, Champs-Élysées. This was supposed to be in honor of Lance entering the city. I wonder if they realized the flag was upside down and turned it right side up before the tour entered the city or whether someone intentionally did this.

An upside down flag is a distress signal. I think France was a little distressed.
