Hello,

Which grease should I use on ceramic ball bearings? Synthetic grease maybe? I've heard you should NOT use one kind of grease, but right now don't remember what type must be avoided. Maybe lithium grease is the one that should NOT be used?

Hi clm2206,

Do you know who made your bearings? In general, the issue of incompatibility lies not with the balls and races but with the seals. A good synthetic will probably be okay but it's safest to use what the manufacturer recommends.

BTW, why are you greasing your bearings? Are they getting crunchy?

Hi 3rd Nature Boy,

I was making some research before upgrading my Campy 5/32" ball bearings, and Wheel Manufacturing loose grade 5 ceramic ball bearings don't include the grease. However, other brands do include the grease.
