75% disapprove of Congress.

Congressional Democrats have a higher rating than Congress overall, sitting at 43%.

Of course, Shrub sits in at 25% too.

No surprise there.... Congress DOES suck. It's the reason things are so effed up right now.

75% disapprove of Congress.

And that means they are getting more approval than a month or two ago.

Everyone should take a look at this movie. It's very provocative and an eye opener.
The first part of the movie talks about religion, but the important part is about 9/11 and the ultimate plan the Federal government has for the world. Just watch the whole thing you'll learn something from it.

After living abroad, I am convinced the parliamentary system is better--- voting for a party rather than the individual--- and having multiple parties that can represent more diverse viewpoints.

This isn't stalemate. The Dems have passed pretty much every piece of legislation Bush has asked for.

I seek stalemate to give the courts time to correct the damage done by the Republican majority. I don't want the Dems effing things up in the interim as they're just as bad and worse in many cases. Ten years of stalemate ought to be enough time to weed out the most heinous of the laws out there. At the federal level, I'd rather there be no law than bad law.

well ya got a point

Dems only passing stupid laws that are still skeered. mostly Red State Dems (Blue Dogs?)

but otherwise I do agree

I'm still amazed no one is making a fuss over how much filibustering the Up or Down crowd has done in 6 months

either the Dems don't know how to work the media or the Cons just own it

Political Expediency is the operative word of politics post-9/11. It goes back further but 9/11 fractured the country in exactly the ways AQ wanted to. Our politicians are so predictable it's pathetic.
