I got my first road bike about a year ago...a 2006 Alp D Huez and I really like it...I am riding more and more and have the itch for a full carbon frame. The Alp only has about 500 miles on it (a lot of travelling in the past year), so my question is should I go with another complete bike or get a frame and tranfer all the stuff from the Alp to it? I am looking at keeping cost below $2500...also, I am 6'5" and the Alp is a 61cm (as I am 6'5"). Any suggestions??? Being 6'5" I should be able to get a pretty sweet deal on a 2007 bike as usually the 60+cm bikes don't fly off the shelves at the end of the year....

Why do you want a carbon frame? Ever ridden one? Just like the cool factor?
I'm not saying that carbon frames aren't good. I like'em.
Whenever I get new bike fever, I go ride some bikes that I'm interested in, then go home and ride the one I have for comparison. Then I ask myself "Will I have more fun on a new Super Duper all carbonfiber everything Rollie Roller than I'm having on the bike I have now?

A little of all the above.....I will ride some bikes to see if I can kill the fever...
