I thought they were only SS?

At Surf City today I saw a rider w/ a geared one. (Though I could've sworn his roof rack had 2 of them). Toothpaste green w/ red lettering/accents. Beautiful.

I'd give up my whole quiver (Indy fab Planet X, Steelman road, On One, Chameleon) for that ride...

i'd give up my whole quiver too. actually emailed sacha when he started to take orders....he didn't think it would be a good idea to take one out of fireroad and singletrack the way i do. a "racers" only rig. i just do so much more on my cx bike to a passed.

anyways....this pic is from the svaagen blog;

that was Crankles that you saw at Surf City on Sunday in the Team Oakland Kit. That bike is a real beauty.

That indeed was my speedvagen at surfcity. thanks for the props. I WISH I had two! the other bike was my trusty eurocross now relegated to the pit bike, They both have similar paint schemes. Blue w/red decals. Surfcity was a real acid test as I had to grab the pit bike on the third lap. I almost killed my self trying to ride the same lines on the eurocross. Ended up flatting the pit as well. C'est la vie.

Cool.

Not that I'd ever have one. I'd look pretty sad getting lapped in C's w/ a Vanilla...DOH!

Here's a couple shots of Molly Cameron's pit bike from the Derby City Cup in Louisville, KY 10/28/07. I don't foresee ever being worthy of a bike that nice for cross, but man it was a beauty. :)

Nice bike. Saw you on it at the last Pilarcitos race at Candlestick; I think you were doing M35A while I was doing the M45A race. The Chimay bottle caps on the barends give it the Belgian touch!

wow, If only I had the legs......
I absolutely dig the high flange Chris King hubs, saw them at the CK booth at Hornings.
That bike is all bizness.

What's the difference between the geared Speedvagen and the REO Speedvagen?

What's the difference between the geared Speedvagen and the REO Speedvagen?

While REO Speedwagon may 'Keep On Loving You"; you 'keep on loving' the Speedvagen?

Maybe it's best that we draw parallels rather than contrasts with the Vagen; some of the cyclocross-esque love that the Speedwagoneers blessed us with:

The Albums:
"Wheels Keep Turning"
"You Get What You Pay For"

And the Songs:

"Take it with You"
"Roll with the changes"
"You Can Fly"
"Break Away"
"Keep Pushing"
"Blazin' Your Own Trail Again"
"Time For Me To Fly"
and
"The Unidentified Flying Tuna Trot" (which describes my dismout/remount technique)

I suspect that the REO Speedvagen will simply be a limited-limited run Vagen. Applicant's will have to include a photo to ensure that they fit the bill.

my very first rock concert was REO Speedwagon. I'm not proud of that fact, but it's true.

I'm not sure that I'd consider that a "rock" concert. :D
