Hey all - do you have any recommendations for cross tires for winter commuting in dry snow conditions? I can get Contintental Twisters at my LBS for $24 a pop, seems to be the best deal locally...

Thanks in advance...

Don't know about snow, but the Michelin Transworld Sprint ($20 at cyclocrossworld.com) are good commuters. They're very durable, roll well, and have some tread for traction off road (and maybe in snow?).

I have had the Contintental Twisters, and did like them, but the shoulders are too agressive for pavement and will leave you with an uneasy feeling when cornering on pavement, on the dirt they are good. I recommend Vredestein Premiato, you can pump these up to 90 psi and they will roll really fast, but still have plenty of tread for the dirt and snow. The 700x30's are quite narrow and will fit on many road bikes. I also have the Nokian CX studded tires, thes are good for ice and snow, but are quite stiff and heavy so I primarilly run the Premiato's.
