Is there anything Halo can't teach us?

There's a hell of a difference between watching a movie about something and then actually playing it out, even in a computer game.

What makes you think that is appropriate?

It brought a little reality to "Suicide Bombings" to game playing.....I would have deleted it myself....

I understand the point you were making. Just consider in the future that you can post a link and a warning so people have the choice to see it or not. NSFW, graphic violence, something so that someone at work does not have THAT on their screen when a coworker or a child walks by without knowing somewhat what they are getting into.

BRC- thankfully, I didn't get to see your image, but I'm assuming it was of someone blown to bits by a suicide bomber. I'm guessing your point was to say that tactics like this aren't a game and have real world consequences.

I'm aware of that.

MY point for posting the article was not that I think suicide bombing is right, cool, or in any way a good thing to do. I thought the article had a pretty strong thought as to why people choose to do such a thing, and how even seemingly normal, rational people can quickly adopt this tactic out of frustration and desperation.

I've found it fascinating how online games often model real world behaviors and tactics, even when these behaviors and tactics are not designed into the game, nor are they a part of the daily lives of the players.
