This might be the right forum for ideas on rust prevention in the steel tubes. Any product favorites? Has anyone injected that expanding foam stuff? WD-40 wll dry to a film, and weighs very little. Is Weigles a paint?

I have used the JP Weigel product on all 4 of my steel bikes. Its a sprays on like a thin oil and then dries as the solvent evaperates. I would not call it a paint. It not hard to do once you get the frame stripped down. Its more messy than difficult. I don't have any basis for comparison to ther products but it seems to work

Same answer as on the other forum. Any spray oil will work. Don't even think about the foam.
