I have a '55 Indian Scout that is in great condition. It shows age, but it is rust and grime free with bright chrome and a nice petina to the green paint and decals/stencils.

I've located appropriate grips, saddle, and pedals for it, but since I plan to use it as a townie, it will need new tires before too many miles. The current ones are good, but significantly cracked around the bead. One of them is a nice looking "Carlisle Super Ride" - made in USA. Would love to be able to find a tire like that...

What options are there for finding EA3 tires? I see that harris carries a few models, and I'd like to find something other than the kenda type tires that seem to be the only ones availble. If it had a slick tread, was fairly correct for the bike, and was good enough for evertday use, I'd be a happy camper. Reccomendations on model and where to purchase (internet is great) are highly appreciated. My local shops were helpless, since neither QBP nor Hawley carry tires of this size any longer. Only possibility was J&B, who lists the cheapo tire as well as a Panaracer that would run about $31 retail.

I found this tire, which looks like a good bet unless someone can point me in a different direction.

I have bought parts from them in the past. I think you have probably found the best source for your needs already, not going to be a whole lot of selection.
