That is kind of amusing. I travel to France fairly frequently and I must say, though, that the no-soap-and-deodorant stereotype is overblown. Like most stereotypes, it does have some basis in fact, but is awfully exaggerated.

Now the fat-guy-sunbathing-in-a-Speedo stereotype, unfortunately, has been on the money every time I've been there in the summer. Need to avoid the walk by the river right after a fine French meal.
