I bought this as a flipper last Spring, finally got around to cleaning and building it. I think I like it too much to sell now!

I have to fine tune the housing length, put some decent skinwall tubulars on it and come up with different pedals, but all in all I think it turned out quite nice.

Very nice! It's nice to see some Rossin bikes around here. A buddy back the late 80's had this exact frame and colors. I drooled over it. It was one of the first exposures I had to a fine Italian handbuilt bike. I assume this is SL tubing? It's nice to see the complete Super Record group on it. You can bet you'll probably never run across the same bike out on the road.

This fall I bought a NOS 1990 Rossin Prestige frameset directly from Italy where it had been hanging on the wall of a bike shop since then. I'm still collecting parts and peices for it, but I think it will be a Retro/Modern build for next spring.

Rossin's are getting quite rare these days but back in the day, they were regarded as one of the top tier frames. I've had Pinarello, Tommasini, and De Rosa frames, and this Rossin is of equal quality to any of those.

I'm still drooling. All it's missing is a white Regal saddle.

Thanks guys,

I agree, a White Regal would look great, but I'm not sure I'm going to keep it. Still trying to decide...

I did put the skinwalls on, I think it looks better. I'll post a new picture tomorrow.

If I had a White Regal it would go on this ;-)

Geez, I just saw this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170172713722&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=007
Maybe the Rossin is worth more that I thought, those were NOS I just put on it!

Those are both some mighty fine rides. The DA on the De Rosa looks pretty good! Is that EL tubing on it? It looks oversized.....maybe it's just the fluorescent paint that makes an optical illusion. I think I see some Matrix ISO C rims on that bad boy.

The skinwalls are a big improvement aesthetically for the Rossin....makes me want to get mine together. It's getting there. Some parts are in the mail and I just need to track down a couple more things.

brewsterThanks, the De Rosa is SLX. I much prefer ther look of the skinwalls, too. I also have some GL330's for the De Rosa, but in AZ I usually ride the Veloflex clinchers on the Matrix ISO's.
