Ricky and Manhattan probably won't like this, but it's all clear to me now. The whole "Lance is a doper, Lemond vs. Lance" drama was a conspiracy created by.....Trek.

It all makes perfect sense.

Lance's team is negotiating with Axel Merckx to join the team
Axel has a reputation for not riding anything but Merckx bikes
Lemond bikes are sold by Trek, who stands to lose big if the Discos switch to Merckx bikes

A sinister marketing executive, deep in a super-secret "black" marketing program at Trek figured he needed to hedge his bets, so he called in Lemond and convinced him to go hint around that Lance is doping. If the Discovery Channel team re-signs with Trek next year, all is forgotten and Greg's comments fade into distant memory. If the Discos switch to Merckx bikes next year, then Greg opens fire and Trek builds a marketing campaign around the Lemond line, "Ride the bikes designed by the only non-doping TdF winner of the last 20 years!"

[For the sarcasm-impaired, the sarcasm quotient of this post should be considered "High" - although it makes at least as much sense as some of the other conspiracy theories floated around here.]

It's hard to beleave that they wouldn't.

Having read some of the posts of the members you mentioned, they lack even average intelligence, and their posts are filled with errors; I would guess first year college students, at best.

Don't let the tards get you down.

And they hate Lance; nerds for sure. :)

Lance road Merckx bikes in his Motorola days. I'm calling for a 5900 or whatever crossbred with the GX2. Nice theory, gotta love fishin'
