Was wondering about the pros/cons about shipping a bike COD via UPS or FedEx to a buyer. Is it possible to get scammed? Anybody have experience doing this? Thanks for any feedback.

If you open the package to inspect the contents, you have accepted the package. C.O.D. doesn't protect you from mis-representation, false product or anything like that. It just ensures that a package was delivered to you, nothing more. CarbonGuy 08-01-2004, 02:16 PM When a package is shipped C.O.D., the money is collected when the package is delivered. Thanks DaveT: But I was really asking was if it were possible to scam UPS/FedEx with a fake Money Order, cashiers check, etc. If I ship a bike and UPS/FedEx takes a fake money order or whatever, am I stuck holding the bag? Why don't you talk to UPS/FedEx directly? That would provide you with the definitive answer. |
