I have a 1999 55cm Bianchi Campione, and was interested if anyone else had upgraded theirs. I started with a 24# bike and with a new Winwood fork dropped almost 2#. Now, I have an Oddsandendos wheelset coming, which should drop close to 3# by my calculations, give or take. I am curious how light anyone has gotten a Campione? I think their frameset changed in 1999 to the non-lugged frame and their ultra-lite tubing. Anybody know a frame weight?

Any other weight dropping suggestions? I have a 18# Schwinn Fastback Comp, so believe me 6# is quite noticeable up any of the climbs in NC. My goal is to settle around 20# or so and call it even.
Cheers

PS: I cannot sell the bike because it is my father in laws old bike.

I don't have any great suggestions, but I do have a question. I have a 2001 Campione, and was wondering if you went to a threadless headset with the new fork. Also, did the new fork change the ride quality of the bike?

I did change my handlebars recently to Ritchey Logic Pro to improve the fit, and I think they are a little lighter than stock.
