There's a video of it at the link.
Scary stuff.
I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And that’s what we need to do is amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than trying to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family.

What happened to the Huckster who said this:
“The key issue of real faith is that it never can be forced on someone. And never would I want to use the government institutions to impose mine or anybody else’s faith or to restrict.”

I recall Old Ed postulating about the day the republican elite came across their first true believer that would actually take their phony mantra seriously and be strong enough to be a contender against them.
The bible thumpers vs. wallstreet brokers. He was surprised that the chasm hadn't broke yet, but boy did he see it coming. The boys in Armani, paying 6000 a month to park their car in New York are dribbling onto their Paul Smith shoes.

I wonder how hard he thinks it would be to change the name on the office door from "President" to "Ayatollah"?

He's up front and following procedure. He didn't say he wanted to appoint a bunch of SCJ's and simply go around the legislature and the Constitution. What are you afraid of, that he can actually pass ammendments and then get them ratified? :)

Sure Snake, no problem with codifying as the law of the land ones own interpretation of religious doctrine. And yes, it does scare me that there could be enough support out there for his type of thinking.

I know you're not nearly as obtuse as you pretend to be, Snake.

last I knew, the Constitution wasn't supposed to be "in God's standard's". and neither was our government.

The guys a moreon and yes it does scare the pooh out of me that people are not or ARE looking into this guy before voting. He is the MOST dangerous candidate out there and IF he gets the repub nomination I will be force to vote DEM or move or I don't know but anyone but him. Geez, I think I would even vote for the sleazy attorney "fill in name here" over HUCK.

I don't think he can get the nomination, like you, I don't trust him. I don't like his border policies as stated and I think those are more dangerous than the religious aspect. We are insulated from him in that respect by Congress and the Constitution. That damned fence has legs and this isn't Berlin, I hope.
