Is anyone familiar with this bike path. I read on the Wisconsin bicycle site that it's crushed limestone. It also says "suitable for most skinny tires".

Is it really ?

Most of the crushed limestone paths in my region are fine with a set of 23s. There's two in my area that are loose enough and best avoided on road tires. I'm curious if anyone knows which camp this trail falls into.

Just road on it Monday from Holmen to La Crosse .. and previously from Bangor to La Crosse. I have a Trek 2300 with 23s and had no problems. Just pay attention in some areas where it might stay wet in the shade.

Riding from the cities to St. Louis? If so wow...

If you catch it in Trempealeau it goes to UWL or Riverside park. There is a branch that heads east to Sparta too. You suppose to have a pass ($4 daily) to use the trail but if you dont and the ranger stops u .. u can always just buy a day pass from them.
