I just bought a pair of new American Classic Sprint 350 wheels. It came with a small spacer to put on before the cassette. I use Ultegra cassettes and components. Will I need the spacer or not?

I just bought a pair of new American Classic Sprint 350 wheels. It came with a small spacer to put on before the cassette. I use Ultegra cassettes and components. Will I need the spacer or not?

There is an easy way to tell... if you tighten the lockring and there is still play in the cassette, then you need the spacer. But I would just email them and see what they say. Everytime I have ever had a question for American Classic, they got right back to me.

That spacer may be needed to put on if you have a newer Shimano 10 speed cassette, but I am not sure. I would email and ask.
