I just built up a 2004 S-Works E5 frame I bought and am experiencing a "ping" type sound when the left crank arm is in the foreward. It appears to be coming from the crank/bottom bracket area. I built it up with an Ultegra 6600 BB and a R600 crank. My question is if the bottom bracket shell was faced at the factory. It looked like it was, but with the silver annodized finish, it was not obvious. Any help would be appreciated.
