I just learned, many of you may already know, that Sheldon Brown died of a heart attack yesterday.
I'd like to say that his articles have contributed immensely to my knowledge of bikes, and that I admire him greatly for his contribution to the cycling world. Indeed, the world is a better place because of his mark upon it.

Woah. I just read his piece on his Multiple Sclerosis. Truly a sad day for cyclists.

Wow! I was just looking all over his website the other day and trying to find out more about him and the "Igor" thing... and then .... Wow! I hope his website will live on... as he pedals into the Great Beyond. Cheers Sheldon!

His presence, his knowledge and his spirit will be missed.

Man...that guy was a big influence to the way I think about cycling without knowing it. We'll miss you SB!

I bet he's cruising a quiet country road with a warm tailwind on an incredibly well maintained steed.
Thanks Sheldon.
