The are 700c Mavic Open Pro 32h clinchers with DT Revolution spokes, alloy nipples, Campy Datyona hubs, Campy Datyona QR. I'm considering getting either a nicer/lighter set for summer or a cheaper set (and wider treads) for these winter pot holes. Thanks

Weight Weenies has record OP at about 1640 gm., and Athena OP at 1884. Excel Sports says on their wheel build site that a set of record OP wheels is 1717gm. These are without QR skewers.

1900 grams +/- would be my guess. Sorry can't give a closer weight. A friend of mine had OP's with ultegra hubs, Shimano skewers and I think they were supposed to be somewhere in the 1800+ gram range.

I didn't know Excel had a calculator. Plugging in a Centaur with current parts, I come up with 770/900 or 1670g/pr. That lighter than I thought. Not sure how that compares to my 6 yr old parts though.

Not sure about the Daytonas but the older Centaur hubs were very similar to Record in design and weight... the new ones are more like Veloce... ie they've been downgraded.

Not sure about the Excel calculator. My 32-spoke (14/15 DB Wheelsmith) Ult6600/OP's are 1825g actual (with cloth rim strip, no QR's), vs Excel calc wt of 1986g.

could they be including the QR in your case? i'd guess the QR to be in the 140+g/pr range... that's another good question -- what do Campy Daytona/Centaur QR weigh?

Interesting. I had read Daytona was very close to Chorus. Maybe they made it too close? The hubs feel very smooth to me.

They are 1608 + or - 10g without skewers.

Could be. FWIW- Shimano website lists 6600's QR's as 60f F 64g R, so that would put Excel's est. within 40g of my Ult/OP's actual weight.

A couple of actual weights using 14/15 spokes, 32s three cross, brass nipples. These are without skewers. I believe Excel's calculator includes skewers. These sets are 3-5 years old.

Reflex/Chorus 1,656g
= F 755g R 901g

Open Pro/Chorus 1,727g
= F 795g R 932g

1608 w/ skewers? how'd you come up with that -- hope you're right, but that seems too light

Excel shows them as 1680g w/ skewers... so mid 1500s

I finally weighed them... 710g front + 865g rear with rim strips

Excel's site is as close as the scale was accurate (skewers add 140g). Not bad at all for $400. They stay very true as well. Guess I need to keep my eye out for something in the 1300g range now!

Oh, I changed the view on my browser so I don't keep reposting. Sorry about that.
