It's was mentioned in another thread that the X-Rays have 135 mm rear spacing. I could not find the specs on the web site.

Is it 135 and could it be squeezed reasonably to work with 130 hub?

If it should not be used with 130 spacing, I think you should add the spacing to the specs. I have considered getting one in the past and would have been very disappointed.

I've used a 130 rear hub exclusively on mine for 3 years now with no problems.

I'll check back in 3 more years and let you know.

5 mm is pretty small but if you want to reduce the QR turns and reduce the lateral stress on your chain stays then just put one 2 mm washer on the axel each side of the rear hub. Better, buy a rear mountbike hub and hand build the wheel with the rim you want.

I used older XTR hubs that work great on the X-Ray I just built.

I should clarify that I do use spacers (a 2mm + a .5mm on each side). Dealing with those adds a bit of hassle to a rear wheel flat, but other than that, no problems in 3 years.

It's worth it to me to be able to swap wheels with my roadbikes.
