2006 Trek 1500 with approximately 100 miles for $700... is this a good price? Completely stock with no pedals. I'd appreciate any opinions. Thanks.

Thanks. true_north 02-13-2008, 04:43 PM $700. seems a bit much. I'd look around if I were you. I just bought a 2100 (model year 2005) on eBay for $700. and even though it is a year older it has Trek's top-of-the-line aluminum frame as opposed to the 1500's; the 2100 also has Bontrager carbon forks and OCLV seat stays. My bike had Mavic Open Pros instead of the stock Bontragers and it also had Ultegra shifters....I think you can do better. I was quite impressed with my eBay seller. Even the $99. for shipping to Toronto via UPS didn't spoil the bargain. Now all i need is an an end to the mega-dumps of snow we have been getting. My winter bike is getting eaten up by the salt they dump on the main streets and the side streets are impassible. Good luck in your hunt for a great deal. curty42082 03-05-2008, 10:32 PM I wouldn't pay over $550 for it personally . davidka 03-09-2008, 01:49 PM $700 is a great deal for this bike. True North's bike was also an excellent deal but it sounds like his was used a great deal more (different wheels, etc.). If the frame fits you well you can't go wrong with that bike. |
