Nice frame. I have a Panasonic-built '77 Super Le Tour 12.2 as my fixie frame. DB 4130 main tubes, 1020 stays and fork. Not light, but it's a sweet-riding frame. I checked the Schwinn Lightweight Data Book at:

http://www.geocities.com/sldatabook/contents.html

But it only goes up to 1979, From a quick look, it seems that all of the 1970's Travelers used 1020 tubing throughout. The fact that yours has chromoly main tubes indicates itis probably from the 1980s. The brazed-on cable guides back up this assumption, as the 1970s bikes used chromed steel or plastic clamps. By the graphics and paint, I'd say early 1980s. By 1986-ish, the Traveler looked like this:

Every mid-80's Schwinn road bike I've seen (except Paramounts) had similar graphics. Especially the red line under the model name, which was always at the front of the top tube. They all had that.

My guess is 1980 - 1984, and probably 82 or 83, but I have no solid data to back this up.
