SRAM -

I'm probably one of the few who actually likes the ergonomics of shimano levers better.

i prefer the smooth shifting of shimano over sram.

i do like the fact that there are no external cables, which was one of the reasons I went with SRAM (although the price on rival helped a lot).

Generic CF frame -

it rides OK.

wish i had kept my eye on the ball re head tube height.

it's most certainly a tool, not a jewel.

PBK -

they may have sent the wrong colored stem, but for the prices/speed of delivery/etc they get a pass.

LBS -

when you have no tools to build up a bike, they come in handy.

it's even better when you know the mechanics, and can give them a hand while they're building your bike up.

You got away with only two logos. Now that is an accomplishment. Pretty nice looking bike.
I take it you would like less head tube? How does it ride?

only +/-5 mm less headtube, and the stem height would be almost exactly the same as my M tcr comp.

based on the initial 2.5 hour test/tweak ride, it's OK. better than my 15 year old c'dale, but not as nice as my giant.

Nice, clean looking bike. I've got a brand X that I use as a commuter. It gets the job done.
